Former President of India, A P J Abdul Kalam, died today in Shillong when he collapsed during a lecture. He served as the President of India between 2002 and 2007.
The 84 year old Abdul Kamal was rushed to the Nongrim hills to Bethany hospital's ICU after he collapsed at around 6.30 PM during a lecture at IIM where he was a guest faculty member. According to reports, Dr. Kalam suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
Today morning, Kalam had tweeted about him going to Shillong to attend the event at IIM:

The tragic death of President Dr. A P J Adbul Kalam is a great loss to the whole nation and the whole country is shocked with the news and is mourning for his death.
