The earthquake yesterday in Nepal was the worst earthquake that the country experienced in the last 80 years which measuring 7.9 Richter scale. The team of Google did few things to help Nepal.
The first thing they did was launch Person Finder, which is available to be used in three different languages, English, Hindi and Nepali and other languages will also be coming soon, just after the earthquake had hit Nepal. This Person Finder will let people give a platform to post and look out for friends and family who are affected by the earthquake disaster in Nepal. So if you are looking for someone, just click on 'I'm looking for someone' and then enter the name of the person you are looking for. If you want to inform people that you are safe or have information about someone;s safety then click on the option 'I have information about someone' and then enter the name of the person and their details
Google also made this search function of this Person Finder be available for use via SMS. It is available in India and U.S. where only simply needs to create a text message and toe 'search' and send it to +91.977.330.0000 in India or +1.650.800.3978 in the U.S.
