Best Top 10 Korean Movies (Love Stories)

Korean Movies have taken away the whole world by its wonderful, sad and sweet love stories, dramas, music and movies. I love Korean movies though the language Korean is greek to me, I’ve watched about more than 100 korean movies and love them. Thanks to those English sub titles poping in the screen for every Korean dialogues being told in the movies.


Well, here I have a list of the top ten best Korean Movies Love Stories of all Times.
1. The Classic


The film tells the parallel love stories of a mother and daughter. The story of the mother is told partially in flashbacks. It is a happy ending love story having an awesome classic story. This movie features the beautiful Korean actress Son Ye-jin who plays the role of both the mother and the daughter.



2. The Millionaire’s First Love

As the name suggests, the story is about a rude and arrogant rich boy falling in love with a cute young girl. Well, this film is a sad ending movie where the beautiful girl dies at the end of the movie and the guy does everything to make her happy before she leaves the earth forever.

3. My Sassy Girl

The movie, ‘My Sassy Girl’ is one of the most popular Korean movie all around the world which has also been made into an English movie. It is probably a romantic comedy with some happy and sad moments flashing in the movie in between. This movie’s soundtrack in Korean, ‘I Believe’ is a beautiful one which is quite popular. It is based on the true story told in a series of love letters written by Kim Ho-sik, a man who initially posted them on the Internet and later adapted them into a novel. This movie also has a bollywood version known as ‘Ugly Aur Pagli.’

4. A Moment to Remember
Another beautiful sad love story is the movie, ‘ A Moment to Remember.’ The story is about the girl discovering her slow loss of memory increasing due to Alzheimer’s disease that she finally forgets everyone and everything. The 2008 Bollywood film U Me Aur Hum is inspired by this movie where the female protagonist deals with Alzheimer’s and her husband stands by her.

5. Sad Movie

As the name of the movie suggest, it is a Sad Movie. This movie focuses of four different relationship and the sadness, sorrows, pain and tears of each relationship. It is about a relationship of two lovers, two fiancés, a mother and a son and two unknown strangers who all are inter connected to each other. Well, at the end, all of their relationship has a sad ending.

6. Windstruck

The film was a major success, ranking as the 8th-highest grossing Korean film of 2004. The movie is about a beautiful girl who herself is a police officer and meets and falls in love with a man. Then an accident cause the man to die, leaving the girl in sadness and depression. But the guess returns to the girl as the wind to save her from all troubles. Windstruck is a beautiful sad love story.



7. My Little Bride

My Little Bride is a romantic comedy with its cast Moon Geun-yeong as the little bride and
Kim Rae-won as the husband released in the year 2004. This is a story of an innocent 15 year old school girl and a playboy getting married and then finally falling in love.


8. My Tutor Friend

My Tutor Friend is a South Korean movie released in the year 2003. It is about a touching story of two completely different students from two completely different worlds. One is a rich male repeating his third year of high school and the other a poor girl in her second year of university struggling to make ends meet.

8. Jenny and Junno

The plot of the movie is about a 15 year old sweet couple, Jenny (Park Min-ji) and Juno (Kim Hye-sung), who meet and falls in love where they are in school. When Jenny soon discovers that she is going to have a baby so pregnant, she and her boy, Juno does not want to abort the baby and have the baby instead. They try to conceal the pregnancy from their families for as long as possible, but the truth is revealed eventually, and their parents do not approve.

9. 100 Days with Mr Arrogant

100 Days with Mr. Arrogant (also known as My Love Sagaji) is a South Korean Film released in the year 2004, and is arguably one of the funniest Korean modern films. One must really watch this movie to see how this boy( Mr. Arrogant) falls in love with the girl.


10. Seducing Mr. Perfect

Seducing Mr Perfect, also known as Seducing Mr Robin is a South Korean movie. It was written and directed by Sang-woo Kim and stars Uhm Jung-hwa as Min Joon and Daniel Henney as Robin Heiden.
