Espeto Gaucho: The First Brazilian Churrascaria Restaurant in Muscat

Espeto Gaucho is one of the restaurant located at the Cave complex in Darsait, serving Brazilian Churrascaria, which has wow'd every guest that has walked into the restaurant. Being the first restaurant to serve this cuisine in Oman, the concept of a Brazilian Churrascaria is a new one in Muscat, with Rodizio service, one can eat as much as you can.
Nestled amongst the rocky hills with a great view of the sea, the Cave complex itself looks like a giant rock, a magnificent cave, with amazing restaurant serving various cuisines and Espeto Gaucho being one has been a distinct one since it opened four weeks ago.

Espeto Gaucho is located in the ground floor of the Cave complex, with a rocky decor of a cave, it has a seating capacity of about 70 covers, with a bar counter, currently serving amazing Brazilian mocktails and fruit juices.
Basically, the restaurant is serving a Rodizio service, which is 'eat as much as you can' option, with three types of fixed menu to choose from namely A Full service, a Limited Service and a Vegetarian service rodizio. All the three types of services allows choice of gourmet salad, rare and exotic vegetables,imported cheese and more from the salad bar. Starters are served on the table which are Pao de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), Mandioca Frita (fried cassava), fried polenta with parmesan cheese and grilled garlic bread. Then the journey of Brazilian Churrascaria is continued with a chef's special soup and then three Chef's signature Brazilian main course dishes. It is followed by a continuous table side service of various signature cuts of prime beef, lamb and chicken.
In case of a limited service, signature cuts of lamb and chicken is served on the table excluding the beef, which includes mouth sizzling grilled chicken drumsticks, chicken wings, chicken breast wrapped in turkey bacon, grilled lamb chops and many more. For vegetarians, special starters and main courses are also served which includes rice cakes, vegetable lasagna, vegetable pan cake in white sauce, penne pasta in Alfredo sauce, sauted vegetables, etc, 3-4 of which is served on the table. The vegetarian option also gets a taste of grilled vegetables on the skewers that will be served in the table. The Full service costs 14 rials per person, limited 10 rials and vegetarian costs 8 rial per person.
The passadors also gives you a taste of the traditional grilled pineapple flavored with cinnamon and various Brazilian herbs and spices, in between your meats, which is one of its kind in its taste and flavor.

Eat As Much As You Can

The service is unlimited so one can eat as much as you can and the service of meat will only stop when you tell them to stop once you are full. Yes, every individual is given a special card with green on one side and red on the other placed on the table. The journey of rodizio service continues till their patron controls their service with this card. The green signals the Gaucho chefs to bring skewers of sizzling meats to the tables while the red indicated the stopping point.
Once, you're done and have flipped the card to red, it is time to savor the delicious Brazilian desserts that will be brought to you on a dessert cart, with a varied choice and you can choose whatever you want to try out. The popular Brazilian desserts served at Espeto Gaucho are Brigadeiro, lemon mousse, passion fruit mousse, etc.

Drink like a Brazilian

And the journey doesn't just end with food. Espeto Gaucho has a variety of Brazilian mocktails to choose from, made from fresh fruits and condiments, which is one of its kind and entirely different from the mocktails found in the local market. Whether it be a Orange and Pineapple shake, as a fresh mix of tropical Brazilian fruit juice, Minty Melon, a soothing drink with melon blended with mint and herbs or our signature Brazilian lemonade, one has a vast choice of drinks to choose according to their taste.

  1. Although this place is probably not cheap, but they are centrally located, have fabulous party planner, staff and delicious food, and most importantly, the best views of the city.
