At 11.40am 25th April 2015 today, earthquake tremors was felt in Darjeeling with people all coming out of the houses while actually seeing buildings, windows and electric poles shake.
Much updates are not reported. An aftershock was witnessed again at 12.15pm making the panic rise. According to online sources, updates have been given that the earthquake originated in Western Nepal with tremors felt today in North Bengal, Sikkim, North East India and Delhi NCR region. The earthquake tremor was also felt in Kolkata. Any major damage hasn't been reported yet in Darjeeling or Sikkim but according to live updates in social medias, there have been witnessed few cracks in walls and buildings in Darjeeling, Siliguri and Sikkim.
It seems like major damage has been caused in Nepal with live updates from people from Kathmandu and Pokhara. After the 2011 Sikkim earthquake, this major tremor was felt again which caused tremor so much in the mind of people around. I really hope everyone is safe.
